Twitter has relaxation on 140 character limit tweet.

Allows 140 characters count without media

After erasing the 140 character limit on Tweets, Twitter has actually broadened the user base of its social network and hopes to get more users on its platform. The company recently announced that Twitter has cut down on media content such as photos, videos, GIFs, and Quote Tweets. This content will no longer be a part of the character count and even by including these you can still have the flexibility of using 140 characters limit. This means, you still get 140 characters for a text message but of course the media content is not included in it.

Twitter should have taken these step years ago to make the network easier to use. Twitter made the same effort earlier this year for raising the character limit to 10,000 characters but ruled out the idea for some reasons. The company is now trying to bring changes that can make the process much simple. According to the Verge reports,

“The company is also testing out new replies that will omit the username of the person you are replying to from the character limit. If you reply to multiple people at once, Twitter can only omit the person who sent the original tweet from the character count.”

The flexibility of character limit is expected to be soon a part of all tweets but the users cannot benefit from them just now.

However you still can not edit your tweet once tweeted, one fails to understand the logic behind this.
