Steve Jobs friend and Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak calls Apple’s legendary garage ‘a bit of a myth’

In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Apple’s co-founder and Steve Jobs friend Steve Wozniak talked about the early days of Apple. He spoke about the vision of his friend Steve Jobs and also talked about the number of Apple 1 and Apple 2 units sold in the early days of the company.

In the interview. Wozniak also talked about the legendary Apple garage, an iconic place in the history that laid down the foundation of what would be the first trillion-dollar tech company of the world. About the garage, Steve said – “The garage is a bit of a myth.”

“We did no designs there, no breadboarding, no prototyping, no planning of products. We did no manufacturing there,”

“The garage didn’t serve much purpose, except it was something for us to feel was our home.”

Of course, the friends started their company in the garage because they did not have enough cash to acquire a decent office.

Answering a question about Garage, Steve said:

“We had no money,” he said. “You have to work out of your home when you have no money.”

Steve Jobs, when he got back in Apple in 1997; spoke about how he founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and the famous Garage.
