Samsung may be joining the smart speaker fray

The smart speaker landscape seems to be getting congested with the inclusion of Amazon, Google, and Apple. Samsung is the latest to enter in this field and has been working to develop a connected speaker powered by its Bixby virtual assistant. This speaker is code-named as Vega that has been reported to be under construction for whole one year.

The final specs and features for the smart speaker have not been decided yet and no timings have been released by the company for its launch. The speakers built by Samsung are voice-activated and stationary. These can be used in living rooms or kitchens, for playing music, ordering food or even will be able to tell jokes. The thing that prominently separates them from the crowded field is that all actions can be performed without looking at the screen or even using hands.
