Facebook Scam Alert – Suspected Page Forgery

A new scam is surfacing on the internet, a phishing attempt to hack your Facebook password. An email is being sent to the Facebook users by some unknown hackers telling them about the reports citing copyright violations. The email looks so real that it is hard to differentiate if it is from a hacker or Facebook itself.

The email comes with a link that takes users to a Facebook page that has an app link and asks for submitting their account information. It looks so real, people are falling in the trap setup by the hackers and provide their Facebook password.

Although Facebook is trying hard to avoid and delete fake news and fake pages, still hackers come up with a smart solution to get an access to your account.

If you ever receive any email, please do not open it and provide your account information.

Stay safe online and spread the message to your friends on Facebook.
