WhatsApp Android users may not get the update they’ve been waiting for it. It seems like WhatsApp has scrapped the idea of releasing dark mode for Android. As spotted by WABetaInfo, a website and a twitter account that keeps a close eye on the latest and upcoming features of WhatsApp has tweeted about the feature missing from latest Android updates.
I don’t know why WhatsApp has abandoned the dark mode for Android.
They removed every reference in the 2.19.123 update, but I wanted to wait another beta to be sure.. and no tracks of it in the 2.19.124 update too..

Dark Mode feature is still available for iOS users and the reason why it has been scrapped from the latest Android last two versions is strange. The dark mode is an amazing feature, it is available on Twitter as well as on Messenger.
For now, WhatsApp dark mode chances of getting on Android looking very dark.
