Amid coronavirus cuts, Virgin Atlantic announced on Monday that it would request the staff to take 8 weeks of unpaid leave as the company faces low demand for ticket booking.

British Airways has also decided to limit London to New York flights because of drop-in travel demand. United Airlines, on the other hand, plans to cut its capacity by almost half. In a statement issued on Sunday, United Airlines said it will cut capacity by about 50% in the months of April and May because of a drop in demand.

Delta Airlines also announced last Friday that it would reduce its flight capacity by about 40% for the next four months.
