Cryptocurrency finally went mainstream and made a big impact in 2017. Bitcoin became the 6th largest currency in the world with the total value of all Bitcoins in circulation worldwide around $180 billion.

Yen, Yuan, Euro, and Dollar are the other 4 currencies outranking Bitcoin at this moment. Bitcoin prices surged high from around $1,000 at the start of 2017 to almost $,20,000 before coming down to around $13,500 at the time of writing this article. It does not look like Bitcoin will slow down in 2018 either.

Litecoin is currently valued at just under $250 and is pretty similar to Bitcoin in terms of functionality.

Currently valued at $777.55, began the year around $200.

Ripple (XRP)

With market capitalization of over $85 billion, it is currently priced at $2.21.
