HTC is planning on a squeezable phone

There are numerous ways to check your phone for emails, alarms to vibrations to tiny blinking lights but how about something more tactile? Recently HTC has all geared up to introduce its U squeezable phone. It has even decided on launching its device on May 16th.

A squeezable phone does not at all been a rubber device instead the phone’s metal frame will be created in such a way that will include embedded sensors. This will enable the owners to control apps as well as phone functions by squeezing or swiping along sides of the phone.

Reports state that the HTC U is expected to introduce an Edge Screen on the 5.5-inch phone. A 12-megapixel rear camera will also be featured in the phone along with a 16-megapixel snapper on the front of the device. It will have a 2,560 x 1440 pixel display. The Taiwanese company seems to be shaking up the phone this year. This is an interesting prospect as with squeezable phones, smartphone controls will no longer be limited to the screens.

Although currently, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is in the spotlight but this is going to be a fascinating prospect. Not much detail has yet been shared with the public about the HTC U except its teaser but it is expected that the company will provide more details before the final launch of its device.

The idea of a phone that changes its physicality seems pretty enticing one. It indicates that smartphones are moving further towards such designs that offer a lot more than just a screen.
