FB, Amazon, And Google work together to stop Coronavirus misinformation online

The WHO organized a meeting that brought together companies like Facebook, Google, and Amazon with the goal of stop spreading misinformation about coronavirus.

The meeting was hosted by Facebook. Apple and Lyft were invited but they could not attend the meeting.

The WHO shared information with the companies regarding its response to information about coronavirus while the attendees exchanged ideas about how to stop the misinformation from being spread.

In the meantime, the misinformation has allowed lots of people to take advantage of the situation on different social media accounts and cause serious damages to others by pranking them or making a scene by shouting that the have coronavirus symptoms, leading to mass panic.

Coronavirus has taken more the 2000 lives and the number is growing.

The Mobile World Congress, hosted by Beijing every year has been canceled as many major companies backed out.
