The smartwatch won’t be required to be paired with a phone in order to work

The front camera is primarily for video calling and a 1080p camera with an autofocus feature on the back is for capturing pictures when detached from the frame of the watch. The idea is to use this watch as a smartwatch and the company will introduce many new features in the later editions.

As Facebook is at odds with Apple, this may be a new front for competition in the smartwatch market.

Apparently, as of the latest insights, the smartwatch won’t be required to be paired with a phone in order to work. The watch will be rolled out in three colors, White, Black, and Gold.

Facebook aims to release the first version of the watch by 2022.
