Apple’s iPhone sales fall – Huawei sales on a rise

Apple’s biggest asset, iPhone continuous to suffer weaker sales around the world in the 1st quarter as Huawei, Chinese tech giant gained more market share with more sales.

Huawei flexed its muscles to give tough competition not only to Apple but also its longtime rival, Samsung. Tech research firm Gartner released its smartphone market report on Tuesday. Because of the rise in smartphone prices, worldwide smartphone sales dropped to 373 million units in the first quarter of the year. This is a 2.7% decline from the same period a year ago. Many consumers preferred not to upgrade their existing smartphones because of high prices, lack of new features.
