Facebook sued over Calibra’s look-alike logo

The logo is identical to the logo of the company named “Current”, a startup bank.

In the summer, Facebook introduced its Libra cryptocurrency. Facebook introduced the logo for “Calibra” and it is very identical to the logo of Current, a startup bank. It seems like Current does not like it and has mocked Calibra on its twitter and also filed a lawsuit against Facebook for trademark infringement.

Interestingly, the suit names 4 defendants: Facebook, Calibra, a subsidiary that owns IP related to IP and a “Character”, a design agency that designed the logo for both companies.

The logo for startup bank was designed three years back and according to “Current”, they have been using this logo since August 2016. Facebook’s logo for Calibra was unveiled in June this year.
