Microsoft confirms the layoff reports

Microsoft has been making efforts to streamline its plans from many weeks. The reports indicate that around three-quarters of the cuts will be taking place outside the U.S. Microsoft, for now, has not cited any specific of the layoffs. It was also stated that the company is taking steps to notify some of the workers that their job is under consideration or their positions are expected to be eliminated.
