WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging application in the world. Facebook-owned company is continuously updating its application for a user-friendly experience.
Soon, users will be able to experience the following new features for both android and IOS versions of the application.
1- Expiring Media
Previously, it was vanishing text messages. But now there are expiring media messages. An extended version of expiring messages that will remove media messages, images, videos, or GIFs as well leaving no trace of the message.
The message will be deleted as soon as the user leaves the chat window. The expiring media message will not leave a message “message is deleted” or “media is expired”. They will just Vanish.
2- Always Mute
There are some chats, we wish to mute forever and we don’t want notifications for those chats.
Previously, users could only mute the chat for a one-year maximum. To avoid the hassle of muting it every now and then, WhatsApp has launched the “Always Mute” option. This feature appeared a few months back in the Android beta 188.8.131.52 update.
3- Redesigned Storage Usage Section
To ease the storage management of the application, a new section of Storage Usage is introduced. This improved section of storage management was spotted on Android Beta version v184.108.40.206. The improved UI of the section gives visual cues to manage storage easily and effectively.
4- Multi-Device Support
The wait is over. The feature for which users were waiting anxiously is here. Multi-device support is seen in the development phase of the Android Beta update 2.20.143. This feature will allow users to operate the same WhatsApp account on different devices.
5- New Wallpaper Feature
The New wallpaper feature is seen on WhatsApp beta for Android 220.127.116.11. This feature allows users to change wallpaper according to the theme used in the app. When a user chooses default wallpaper, the app asks if you want to download the WhatsApp Wallpaper app, which is an official application for wallpapers. WhatsApp is also improving wallpapers for iOS too.
