The Glassworker, Pakistan’s first hand-drawn Animation film

Usman Riaz, the famous digital artist from Pakistan is not just a guitar performer anymore. He has become much more than a musician. He created his own animation studio “Mani animation studio” to work as a digital artist. Recently he has created Pakistan’s first completely hand-drawn anime and is aiming to fully crowd fund his new project at Kickstarter.

Recently a trailer for his film “The Glassworker” has been released. This is a story about a young boy named Vincent. The boy lives with his father and learns the art of glass blowing from his him. Vincent and his father work in a glass shop where a girl visits them often and with whom the boy falls in love. This girl named as Alliz is a violinist.

According to Riaz, the film revolves around the main characters of the film, Vincent and Alliz. This is a story that develops through the years and gets more complicated with the passage of time. The orchestral score for the project has been done by the artist himself and within an hour of sharing the trailer on his team’s Facebook page, it received an overwhelming response from the industry’s giants.

Now we are waiting to see how this emerging talent makes his name for animation in Pakistan.
