Kulsoom Abdullah is a Pakistani American. She is the first Muslim woman in the world to compete in any world championship weightlifting event while wearing Hijab. She is an Engineer and also a PHD scholar.
Kulsoom was the only Pakistani female athlete representing the country in the world championship. She pursues her dream of weightlifting and keeps a great balance between sports and family life.
Coming from a country and representing it knowing it’s still taboo for women to participate in sports, Kulsoom breaks the stereotypes. She is a professional weightlifter.
