Khalifa University in UAE Offering Fully Funded Scholarship

Khalifa University (KU),  in Abu Dhabi, has opened applications for a new scholarship program available to foreign and UAE citizens starting in the fall of 2024. The program allows students to pursue higher education in the UAE without worrying about money.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates for the Master’s Degree Program:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field and a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or above, is required.
  • Minimal level of English competence:
    91 on the iBT TOEFL or higher
    6.5 on the academic IELTS and a 1550 EmSAT English score
  • A minimum of 150 in the GRE’s quantitative domain (all sections must be attempted).
  • Two suggestions from the referee.
  • A purpose statement (500–1,000 words).
  • Interview for admission.

Candidates for the Doctoral Degree Program:

  • A master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0.
  • A minimum of 91 on the iBT TOEFL or an equivalent Academic IELTS score of 6.5 is required for English competence, as is a 1550 EmSAT English score.
  • A minimum of 150 in the GRE’s quantitative domain (all sections must be attempted).
  • Two suggestions from the referee.
  • A purpose statement (500–1,000 words).
  • Statement of research (500–1,000 words).
  • Interview for admission.

Exemption from English Language Test:

People who are native English speakers or have finished a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in English have an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 79 iBT (or the same), or an EmSAT English score of 1400.

  • Research Statement (500 to 1,000 words – PhD applicants only).

  • There are textbooks available.
  • Insurance for medical expenses.
  • Flights (from my home country to Abu Dhabi) for international students studying abroad full-time.
  • Visa costs paid.
