iOS 13 will block spam calls for you from unknown numbers

Apple introduced some amazing privacy based features in its new iOS 13. One of the most amazing features is the ability to automatically block calls from numbers you don’t know or recognize.

According to Apple as stated on their website

A new setting protects users from unknown and spam callers. When the setting is turned on, iOS uses Siri intelligence to allow calls to ring your phone from numbers in Contacts, Mail, and Messages. All other calls are automatically sent to voicemail.

It means, now you have an option to set privacy settings and by using Siri intelligence, you will only receive calls on your phone from your contact numbers and all other unidentified calls will be sent to the voicemail which you can check and call later, if interested.

Last year, Apple introduced way to identify spam calls and messages in iOS 12 but this new feature introduced in the iOS 13 is just what everyone would ask for.

Last month in May, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposed to block robocalls by default as Americans received almost 4.9 billion robocalls.
