Friends, thank you for reading this letter. This letter is a reflection on a training that spanned over 6 weeks, inculcating the essence of who we are, our potential, and how we are chained to our thoughts and beliefs. I hope you like the summary.
– Identify your “Why”. The “How” unveils itself in different ways.
– Work on your personality. Be empathetic, be nice to people.
– Learn something new daily (in your field, skill), but please master the skill (no mediocrity. A bite of an apple and then taking another bite of a different apple won’t serve the purpose. Start/finish one thing at a time).
– Write daily diary (if you don’t want to use paper, use your mobile phone or tablet)
– Trust people (designate authority/tasks).
– Spend your time in activities that only move the money needle.
– Family is more important than ever (particularly in the digital age).
– Friends once lost do not come back. Spend time with them (without gadgets).
– MOVE, MOVE, MOVE – Motion creates emotions (spend time on yourself with yourself daily)
– Action is progress, and progress is growth.
– Learn how to speak, write well. Also, learn how to listen.
– Do not accept anything that you’re told. Be a critical thinker in analyzing the facts/truth.
– You can’t control anything outside you, but you can control your mind and heart.
– The impression in the customer’s eye is your presentation, and that comes with branding, and branding is a consequence of quality that yields trust.
– Leadership is a skill. It can be mastered.
– Leadership is a touchstone of loyalty, and loyalty is a consequence of competence.
– Leaders are readers.
– Without commitment, you cannot start; without consistency, you cannot finish.
– Emotional fear is only a fear until faced. Start facing your fears on a small scale and elevate to the depths to completely let go of the fear.
– What humans can do is extraordinary; what they do is disappointing.
– Work harder on yourself than you would on your job.
– A winner was once a loser, but they did not give up.
– Start making decisions in your life. It’s your life, your responsibility.
– The best way of growing is to educate people.
– The best way of selling is to flip the features of your product into customer benefits.
– A retained client is better than hunting for new clients daily.
– Apply the 80/20 Pareto principle in your life.
– 80% of success is psychology.
– Success without fulfillment is an ultimate failure.
– You cannot be grateful and complaining at the same time.
– Trade expectations with appreciation.
– Change your words, change your philosophy (e.g, I can’t do it, so how can I do it?).
– Learn how to manage your finances (stop the leaks, look for new earning avenues).
– Your network is your networth. Sit with the winners, and the conversation is different.
– 4 niches are life-long (Health, wealth, education, relationship).
– Know your target audience, know your competitors.
– Sell to the rich.
– The meaning you give to things controls your emotions.
– Focus is the ultimate key to success, and you can only focus if you remove distractions.
– Dress well to win. Treat yourself as a successful person.
– The 90-day rule and 90 hours for 1st 45 days of learning through 4 power hours set up the pattern of your lifelong learning.
– Follow-up is the key to sales.
– AI automation, personal branding are the best niches to step into in 2016.
– Talk about yourself. If you do not, no one else will.
– Multiple sources of income. Invest wisely.
– A growth mindset is fearless and has a risk-taking appetite than a fixed mindset that is fearful.
– Same action won’t fetch a different result. Change your action by changing your mind, and change your mind by bringing in a physiological change in your mind that triggers a different biochemistry. It sends different signals to your mind when the hormone “cortisol” lowers.
– Let go of the spotlight effect. Nobody is judging you
– Let go of the past. Nobody is there anymore. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. This is why we call it “present”.
– Understand patterns of life. The same applies to humans and their behaviors for making decisions.
– Start giving charity. It purifies your wealth, brings back more than expected.
– To be productive at anything, you need to enjoy the process. Have fun in whatever you do. Enjoy the process.
