5 important pieces of advice Bill Gates has given over the years

Bill Gates is one of the most successful and richest businessmen in the history of the world. His journey from Microsoft to Philanthropy at Bill and Melinda Gates foundation has given remarkable pieces of advice to the students, entrepreneurs over the years.

Here are 5 selective lessons:

1- Push Yourself to your very best:

If you look at the history of Bill Gates over the last 3 decades, he has always believed in pushing himself a bit more than what he was capable of. A willingness of doing more than what an average individual could do helped him in advancing forward with a fast pace and measurable progress. The lesson learnt here is, get out of your skin and give your best and become an example for others to follow.

2- Do not compromise on quality:

Bill always had a close eye for quality control. In his tenure at Microsoft, he ensured that the company provides best quality software that laid the foundation of Windows which turned out to be a game changer and a historical landmark in the computer’s world. There are many videos of Bill Gates getting angry in a team meeting over a poor product quality.

3- Be innovative, Be confident:

Who would have thought in late 70’s that a college dropout along with his co-founder would create a graphical interface in an Operating System that would become a necessity for everyone in the times to come. Bill Gates tells us, one should be innovative and confident and do not worry about any stumbling blocks in the way to achieve their objective.

4- Surround yourself with those who could challenge you:

In a tweet sent out for the students on May 15th, Bill Gates said;

5- Every solution has a problem:

Bill Gates success at Microsoft sends out a clear message that marketing is very simple than how it is perceived generally. The essence of marketing is to provide people with the solution of the problems they face which they cannot solve for themselves. In the process of providing a solution to the problem, you can make money as Bill Gates did in Microsoft.
