World’s biggest messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out a beta update for Android users. The new version 2.19.183 will have a huge impact on the way people view status updates.
According to WABetainfo, a Twitter account that keeps a close eye on WhatsApp latest update tells us that the new feature will be called ‘Hide Muted Status Updates‘.
It will allow WhatsApp users to hide status update that has been muted already. They can be shown again by tabbing on ‘Show’ button.
We are not sure when the feature will actually be rolled out in the regular WhatsApp update for iOS and Android but since it is showing in the beta version, there is a good chance the new update will feature it.
The new update comes right after Facebook announced that it will be showing WhatsApp status messages on Facebook and Instagram status messages. Also, the new PIPÂ (picture in picture) is also expected to feature in the next official update.
