Late last month, The Information reported that Apple was working on an AI wearable — a small, AirTag-sized pendant with cameras that could be clipped to a user’s shirt. Now,
Bloomberg reports that the development of this device, along with two other AI-powered gadgets, is accelerating as Apple races to keep pace with other tech giants exploring similar products.
In addition to the AI pin, Apple is reportedly fast-tracking its AI-powered smart glasses, code-named N50.
The company faces strong competition in this space. Meta is a leader in smart glasses. Snap plans to release its “Specs” later this year. Both are developing similar products.
Apple’s upcoming smart glasses are expected to include a high-resolution camera. Bloomberg reports the company aims to start production as early as December. A public release could happen in 2027.

Apple is also working on AirPods with AI capabilities. These will add smarter features to the popular audio devices.
All of these products are designed to connect with the iPhone. Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, will play a key role in the user experience. Among the new devices, the smart glasses are expected to be the most premium and feature-rich, compared to the AI pendant and upgraded AirPods.
