Changes to Advanced Mode within YouTube Analytics are being rolled out to make data more accessible to a wider range of users. Previously seen as a feature for experienced creators, the tool has now been redesigned with simplicity in mind.
The Advanced Mode interface was rebuilt to accommodate both new and experienced users. A left-hand sidebar was added, bringing extra controls for filtering and organizing reports more efficiently. With the updated navigation, key metrics are now isolated more easily.
According to YouTube, breakdowns by geography, content type, and revenue source can now be found through improved search and filtering tools. The metric picker has been updated so multiple metrics can be selected or removed at once. Filters are available to narrow the results, and a content search option has been added, allowing for title-based sorting. Content can also be sorted by publish date and video length.
Saved reports can now be stored for future access. For example, reports like “Traffic Source” can be saved and returned to when analyzing where views are coming from

Reports showing video performance during the first 24 hours after publishing are also now available, alongside a new “Top Moments” view. These allow segments of videos that are attracting or losing attention to be reviewed in more detail.
A redesigned interface made the analytics tab more usable, particularly for users who may have ignored it before. New comparison features were also added, allowing one video to be measured against others or tracked over time.
Demographic details and comparison tools are also available, offering broader context when analyzing performance data.
While most of the metrics remain unchanged, the layout and access points have been restructured. These updates are being deployed gradually and are expected to reach all users in the coming weeks.
Advanced Mode can be accessed through the Analytics section in YouTube Studio.
