YouTube Launches Premium Lite: A Budget-Friendly Subscription Option

YouTube Launches Premium Lite

YouTube has now launched Premium Lite, which is a cheaper version of YouTube Premium. It offers videos devoid of ads, but it is not as feature rich as YouTube Premium.

What Comes with Premium Lite?

In contrast to Premium Lite, which does not provide complete advertisement removal and offers video downloads as well as background playback, focuses on reducing ads. Users are free to view “most videos ad-free,” which span across some categories like gaming, fashion, beauty and even news. However, ads are still able to creep into music content, Shorts, and searches or scrolling videos.

Where is Premium Lite Available?

Presently, Premium Lite is being trialed in the U.S., before expanding to Germany, Thailand, and Australia, with larger regions targeted later in the year.

Why is YouTube Introducing Premium Lite?
