The Trump administration temporarily halted operations for news organizations that have traditionally offered independent reporting and challenged Chinese and Russian narratives on Saturday by suspending journalists from Voice of America (VOA) and other US-funded media sites.
Hundreds of VOA, Radio Free Asia, and Radio Free Europe staff were notified by email over the weekend that they were no longer permitted to enter their offices.
