According to the Economic Survey for the year 2024-25, Pakistanis have benefited from some of the most affordable mobile data in the world, as the price of 1 GB dropped to just Rs 27.0 in the first half of FY 2025, a 65% decrease over Rs 77.1 per GB in FY 2018.
Pakistan’s telecom rates are among the lowest in the world because of aggressive regulatory actions and a highly dynamic broadband sector, which has caused this sharp decline.
Pakistan now has one of the lowest data prices in the area and the sixth-lowest globally, at a mere US$0.10 per gigabyte.
