Messenger just made a pretty useful change. You can now send files up to 100MB through direct messages. That’s a big jump from the old limit.
Until recently, Messenger only allowed 25MB max, and before that, it was just 10 MB. Now, with this update, sending videos, photos, or even big documents is way easier.
Whether you’re on your phone or computer, you can drag and drop things like Word files, Excel sheets, PDFs, or even HD photos and videos into your chats.

You can also create shared albums, which are perfect for group projects or just keeping memories in one place.
Facebook says this update is mostly for gaming communities, to help creators share more content.
But really, anyone can benefit. Whether you’re swapping videos with friends or sending over a big work file, it’s just more convenient now.
Of course, WhatsApp still has a higher file limit (up to 2GB) and is better known for privacy.
So a lot of people will still stick to that. But if you’re active on Messenger, this update gives you more flexibility.
In short: Bigger files, less hassle.
