Great news for the people of Balochistan. Google, in partnership with Tech Valley Pakistan, has just announced an incredible opportunity for 1,000 Balochistan youth to get scholarships which is worth a total of $500,000 under the Google Career Certificate program.
The Google Career Certificate program is an online learning platform that provides different courses for students to learn new skills and get jobs. This program is offering courses like project management, digital marketing, IT support, advanced business intelligence, cyber security, and design. These courses are instructed by Google professionals and can be accomplished in as little as three to six months. Upon successful completion of the courses, participants will receive a certificate from Google and be connected with potential employers.
This is a golden chance for the youth in Balochistan to polish their existing skills or learn new skills and get employed which will raise Pakistan’s digital economy. Abdul Aziz Aqeeli, the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, showed excitement for this initiative, emphasizing how it will enable the youth of Balochistan to obtain modern skills and access to job opportunities through technology. To further support this initiative, Google will provide 10 buses that will run in different areas of Balochistan to help students with transportation.

This program has a deadline for applications which is April 30, 2023, and anyone can apply for these scholarships who are above 18 years old and has a computer and a good internet connection. Prior experience or a degree is not required to enroll in the courses.
