Applications are now being accepted for the National Assembly of the country’s Parliament Internship Program – Summer Batch 2025, which will give students and recent graduates a six-week practical exposure and an understanding of how the nation’s top legislative body operates.
This initiative, which aims to raise young people’s awareness of democracy, is consistent with the National Assembly Strategic Plan (NASP), which places a strong emphasis on incorporating people, especially students, in legislative operations.
Overview of the Program
By personal engagement in the operations of the National Assembly, the internship provides trainees with a unique chance to learn about public policy, parliamentary procedures, and democratic principles.

Time Duration
- Time Period: 6 weeks
- Batches: offered all year round on a rotating basis.
Eligibility Criteria
These requirements must be fulfilled by applicants:
- Completed a minimum of 14 years of study at an institution approved by the Higher study Commission (HEC).
- Enrolled in a master’s degree in one of the following fields or an undergraduate program lasting four years (after four semesters).
- Accounting, finance, commerce, statistics, public administration, business administration, economics, and law
- Agriculture, Human Resources, Media Sciences, and Mass Communication
- Social Sciences, Information Systems & Technology, or any comparable 16-year program
Essential:
- 60% is the required score in the percentage system.
- CGPA of at least 2.5 (out of 4.0) in the GPA system
30 years old is the maximum age limit.
- Candidates from remote areas, such as Balochistan, Sindh, the province Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the former FATA, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, are particularly encouraged to apply.
Features of an Internship

Requirements and Expectations
- Attendance: A minimum of 85% must be present.
- Commitment: Five days a week, at least eight hours a day, full-time
- Discipline: Must follow the regulations, dress code, and behavior code of the National Assembly.
- Neutral Participation: Throughout the program, interns must maintain objectivity and refrain from having any political ties.

Important Information
There is no application cost, and the internship is unpaid.
- Employment at the National Assembly is not guaranteed by an internship.
- Failure to comply with the selection procedure will result in disqualification.
- If conditions are broken, the National Assembly Secretariat has the right to end the internship at any time.
- Applications that are not comprehensive will not be taken into account.
