Google Meet has launched a new AI-powered makeup filter for days when you don’t feel like wearing real makeup. This update helps Google Meet compete with apps like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, which already offer virtual makeup effects.
The feature includes 12 different makeup styles. You can find them in the “Appearance” tab under “Portrait touch-up.” This section already has tools like skin smoothing, under-eye lightening, and eye whitening, first added in 2023.

The AI makeup filter looks realistic because it moves naturally with your face. Even if you take a sip of coffee, the makeup won’t shift or glitch.
The feature is turned off by default. You can enable it before or during a meeting, and once you pick a look, Google Meet saves your choice for future calls.
The new AI makeup feature started rolling out on October 8 for both mobile and web users.
