This update places specific focus on visual search alignment, with marketers being encouraged to follow several practical steps:

• Keep the catalog up to date. Catalogs should be uploaded with complete information such as brand name, color, pricing, and size. This data is used by Pinterest’s systems to determine which products to display in response to various searches.
• Use lifestyle images: Lifestyle backgrounds are recommended for product Pins. A variety of visuals and colors should be included to improve the chances of appearing in different types of visual searches.
