These morning hours before work can be a key to a successful and healthy lifestyle. These are the times which make us proactive and more productive for the rest of our day.

Tim Powell is among those successful people who wake up when most of us are fast asleep. He utilizes his time by exercising at is home gym, gets prepared for his daily work and reaches the office. His office starts at 9 am but he reaches there before time in order to take a walk around a local park. These few quiet moments with himself allow him to relax and gather his thoughts for the rest of the day. He often has Germen language lessons before starting off with his work. These habits allow him to get more things done in a single day.

Powell’s morning routine didn’t come naturally, he built it over time. According to him

“You don’t set out on day one to appear to be some sort of superhero office warrior”.

You can build up a routine over time and even the laziest person will get in the habit of waking up early and doing difficult things in the morning.

Tim Powel is not alone who know the benefits of adapting to morning routine. There are many other people who have become successful in life and wake up at dawn to get things done without distractions.

Barack Obama: Physical fitness and family are the most important elements in President Obama’s daily routine. He gets up 6:45 am, reads newspaper, has breakfast with his family, and starts off to work at 9 am.

Steve Jobs, late Apple CEO: For 33 years, he spent his mornings assessing his work and desires.

Benjamin Franklin: The founding father of United States used to start his days at 4 am and make plans for what he was supposed to accomplish for the day.

Craig Newmark: The founder of Craigslist was known to start his day by focusing on customer services and answering complaints.

The benefits of early morning routines:

So now we know that successful people have one thing in common, they all cherish early mornings. Their morning rituals motivate them to be productive, feel fulfilled and accomplished without sacrificing their health.

According to Oprah Winfrey,

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate”.

So if you want to be productive and creative in your life, you must steal the following rules of highly successful people.

Build positive and healthy habits:

It is as simple as Aristotle put it,

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit”.

To change your lifestyle, form good habits in the first place. Adopting positive habits lead to a more rewarding future. Therefore focus on regulating your behavior and discipline yourself to get from point A to point B for achieving success.

Set up plans:

Make valuable plans for your future goals because these goals give you the direction. Every day make preparations for tomorrow, prepare your clothes and complete your files for the next day. When you are already prepared for a task, you will start your day fresh and active. Decide for time-consuming tasks a night before your working day.

Support your body’s natural rhythm:

“Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together”. Thomas Dekker

In order to maintain proper health, our bodies require sleep. Getting a good night sleep is only possible if we pay attention to our body’s natural internal clock. Sleeping and getting up at the same time everyday help to optimize the quality of our sleep and we can wake up naturally without an alarm. If you want to sleep more in order to make up for a late night, it is better to take a day time nap instead of sleeping more than your normal wake up time. In this way your natural sleep-wake rhythm will not get disturbed and you will stay in the routine of sleeping and waking in regular patterns.

Establishing a routine can be a difficult transition but it will help you calm down the chaotic and rushed hours of every morning.

A morning routine sets the tone for the entire day, and if you do each day right, you’ll do life right.
