The National Telecom Security Operations Center (NTSOC) has provided comprehensive 2024 statistics to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The study claims that NTSOC removed more than 2,070 harmful mobile apps and phishing websites that were aimed at Pakistani customers. Additionally, through dark web surveillance, over 550 instances of compromised Pakistani credentials were found.
Over the course of the year, the center collected a significant amount of cyber threat intelligence. In order to detect and eliminate current threats, it processed over 3,200 Indicators of Attack (IoAs) throughout the telecom ecosystem and sent out 3,946 Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).

These massive endeavors weren’t carried out in a vacuum. PTA highlighted the establishment of a two-way threat intelligence-sharing system that connects public and private organizations for immediate interaction and coordinated actions.
Conclusion
In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the efforts by NTSOC throughout 2024 have proven crucial in safeguarding Pakistan’s telecom sector. From dismantling thousands of cyber threats to monitoring the dark web for stolen data, the center’s proactive strategy combined with real-time intelligence sharing has strengthened the country’s cybersecurity framework. As digital risks continue to grow, such coordinated actions between public and private sectors will remain vital to protect users, businesses, and national infrastructure.
