Now You Can Schedule Google Calendar Meetings with Google’s Gemini

Schedule Google Calendar Meetings with Google’s Gemini

Google has launched a new AI feature to help Gmail and Google Calendar users schedule meetings faster. The tool is called “Help me schedule” and is powered by Gemini AI. It finds the best meeting times based on your calendar and shows them to the person you’re emailing.

This new feature works best for one-on-one meetings, not group meetings.

The launch comes as part of Google’s bigger plan to bring AI into all its Workspace tools. Other updates include:

  • The Nano Banana image editing model

  • Gemini features in Google Slides

  • Custom AI assistants called Gems

  • Smarter tools in NotebookLM and Google Vids

How It Works

When you’re writing an email in Gmail, you’ll see a “Help me schedule” button below the compose box.

  • Click it to see your open time slots

  • You can edit or remove it at any time if you don’t want it.

  • Then, insert the options into your email and send it

Once the other person picks a time, a calendar invite is automatically created for both people.

While other scheduling tools like Calendly, Doodle, or Zoom already exist, Google’s version stands out because it uses Gemini AI to read the context of your email. For example, if you mention a “30-minute meeting next week,” the tool will only show 30-minute slots that fit your calendar.

Google used to have a scheduling tool in Google Calendar, but it wasn’t connected to Gmail, and it didn’t use AI.
