Meta Introduces Urdu AI for Pakistani Users
Meta has launched an Urdu version of its AI platform, Meta AI, for users in Pakistan a move that aims to make technology easier and more relatable for everyone. The launch took place at the event “Future in Focus: AI and Innovation”, organized with the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoITT).
With Urdu now added, millions of Pakistani users can use Meta AI in their own language, removing one of the biggest barriers between people and technology. This aligns with the government’s Digital Nation Vision, which focuses on giving every citizen access to modern tools and digital knowledge.
Empowering Pakistan Through Language
Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima highlighted how this collaboration between Meta and the government supports Pakistan’s journey toward becoming a digitally empowered nation. She said, “Technology should serve everyone. Adding Urdu to Meta AI ensures that all citizens, not just English speakers, benefit from innovation.”
