Instagram isn’t wasting any time. Just a week after launching its new video editing app, Edits, it’s already rolling out some cool new updates.
Users now get more fonts to style their text and new voice effects to spice up their audio.
In total, there are 125 fonts and 15 different voice options. Whether aiming for funny, emotional, or dramatic, you’ve got a lot more room to play.
Instagram (well, Meta) also added a helpful new feature called “Apply All.” It lets you apply filters, transitions, and effects to every clip in your video — all at once. That means less time editing and more time creating.

These features are on top of what was already packed into the app: tools like multi-channel tracking, advanced video effects, and the ability to save your videos without that annoying Instagram watermark.
And the best part? Everything’s still free — for now.
Instagram hinted that it might charge for more advanced tools in the future, especially those using powerful AI. But for now, you can use all the features without paying a dime.
They’re also planning to push out updates weekly, so new stuff is coming fast.
Will this beat CapCut? Depends on what you need. But it’s worth trying.
You can grab Edits now on both the App Store and Google Play.
