PAFLA as the Ecosystem Partner, has successfully concluded the National Agentic AI

Hackathon 2025. This event marks Pakistan’s most extensive national effort to date to

accelerate innovation in agentic workflow and next-generation AI technologies.

Designed and executed jointly by InnoVista and Google, the hackathon leveraged

Google’s cutting-edge AI ecosystem to provide thousands of aspiring innovators the

opportunity to develop practical, scalable solutions with global relevance.

The hackathon featured two competitive tracks, with a significant emphasis on

utilizing Google’s development suite to democratize access to AI tools.

Track 1: National AI Hackathon (On- Premises)

The Regional Rounds were held across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Bahawalpur,

Peshawar, and Gilgit-Baltistan in September 2025.

  • 800+ applications were received nationwide.
  • 300+ teams were shortlisted to compete physically in the Regional Rounds in 5

cities.

  • From these, 17 Regional Winners advanced to the National Finale held on

November 28, 2025, at InnoVista Rawal, Islamabad.

Track 2: Vibe Coding Using Firebase Studio (Virtual Track)

A fully online track powered by Google’s Firebase Studio attracted overwhelming

participation:

  • 1000+ applications from across Pakistan.
  • 200+ high-quality submissions showcasing AI-enabled digital innovation.

A significant highlight of this year’s hackathon was the active participation of Google

Developer Experts (GDEs) and Googlers, who joined as mentors, evaluators, and

technical facilitators throughout the program. In addition, Google Developer Groups

(GDGs) across Pakistan amplified the challenge nationwide by engaging their

communities, running awareness sessions, and supporting teams at local events.

Google further strengthened developer enablement by providing free Google Cloud

credits to participating teams, enabling them to build, deploy, and test their agentic AI

prototypes on enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Winners of both tracks were celebrated at the National Agentic AI Day on

November 29, 2025, hosted at NuTech University Islamabad. The grand event

brought together Industry leaders, Government representatives, Technology

innovators and Academia and ecosystem partners.

The event highlighted breakthrough AI prototypes, honored exceptional talent, and

reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to advancing applied AI and future skills

development. Speaking at the event, Mr. Hisham Sarwar, CEO InnoVista, emphasizedthe importance of building an AI-powered innovation pipeline across universities,

freelancers, and emerging startups. “Through strong collaboration with Google,

Systems Ltd., and PAFLA, the National Agentic AI Hackathon has set a new

benchmark for scale, quality, and execution of AI innovation programs in Pakistan”,

he remarked

“”It’s impressive to see the creativity, talent, and passion demonstrated by the
