On 7th February, I was in a conversation with my good “new” friend, Zafar Iqbal, about the challenges faced by our IT community and why Pakistanis lag far behind in the tech space in the South Asia region. One important element that popped up in the conversation was that we feel more content with mediocrity.
Curious but compelled to explore further, I gently disagreed with Zafar’s point. After all, I’ve been actively training since 2016, traveling across the country, working with the federal government through Digiskills to teach freelancing, and consistently engaging with a large audience on my YouTube channel. The response I’ve received has always reinforced one belief: there is a genuine eagerness to learn. With over 5 million students in Pakistan having benefited from these efforts, I find it hard to believe that the issue is simply a lack of ambition—at least, that hasn’t been my experience.
Zafar raised an important question: Why are we producing so many Canva designers, data entry operators, and virtual assistants, while falling behind in emerging and trending technologies? Why do high-value jobs around the world seem to go to other nations, not us? He stressed that we’ve grown too comfortable with basic skill sets, avoiding the tougher, more demanding skills that truly push our limits and require real effort.
Well, truth be told, I had no option but to agree to Zafar’s comment about our laziness, our love for the comfort zone. We want overnight results, we look for get-rich-quick schemes, but sadly, we hate putting effort into building something that lasts long.
As the conversation progressed, we delved into the rise of AI agents and the rapid shift brought about by AI automation and Agentic AI. We discussed how these technologies are swiftly replacing traditional jobs, and more importantly, how individuals can tap into this wave of change, mastering high-demand AI skills without needing a formal 4-year college degree.
Pakistan, like any other nation, stands at a crossroads. On the verge of making a decision for their financial stability, which will eventually lead to the economic prosperity of the country.
Zafar brings over a decade of consultancy experience in the Canadian market, giving him a sharper instinct for identifying pivotal AI domains in the West. In contrast, I rely more on insights from the World Economic Forum and trends on freelance marketplaces to stay informed and anticipate where the tech world is headed. His on-ground exposure gives him a perspective that’s often more immediate and aligned with global industry movements.
I think that, fast-forward, AI automation, and AI agents will replace lot of jobs. When icons like Mark Zuckerberg talk about the future, you know it is coming; it is almost there.
“Our bet is sort of that in the next year probably…, maybe half the development is going to be done by AI, as opposed to people, and then that will just kind of increase from there,” Zuckerberg said.
Things do not stop here. At Meta’s first LlamaCon AI event last week, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, AI now writes up to 30% of the company’s code.
After our long conversation, I decided to roll up my sleeves and see for myself how these AI agents actually perform. I stumbled upon a few platforms that let you build applications and websites using nothing more than simple prompts. I thought, why not? This could be my chance to create multiple applications—each one a potential magnet for signups and, eventually, revenue. The idea of building a passive income stream started to feel less like a dream and more like a tangible, achievable goal.
And….I was right 🙂
I started building the application on Hostinger Horizons and Lovable. Funny as it sounds, I think it’s a better idea to employ two different agents with different thought processes than one. Hostinger has always been a long-lasting love. Through their affiliate program (that earns you well) or a Referral Program that enables you to earn up to $450, their quality is unmatched, but Lovable did not disappoint.
I began by generating prompts on ChatGPT and took them to Lovable to create a functional website (step by step). Yes, a complex web application is now 85% coded using AI. There were some disappointments, but the joy of building a state-of-the-art portal is matchless.
These AI Agents are extraordinary, as I would like to move on and present you with an opportunity to learn everything related to AI for free. For now, I shall pass on the details of the above screenshots with a simple message: This could be by far the most amazing SAAS portal surfacing from Pakistan.
Join me and Zafar Iqbal in this Facebook group to learn how to build amazing AI applications for FREE without any tech background. We’ve built an amazing community of nearly 30k people and growing. The possibilities are unlimited, and opportunities are already beginning to knock at the door.
AI for all backgrounds is for you. Yes, you, who does not know anything about AI 🙂
Come with me if you want to earn $ offering AI automation to the world.
