OpenAI reports that ChatGPT problems occurred on Wednesday, September 3 at approximately 2:36 a.m. ET. Around 7:41 a.m. ET on Wednesday, DownDetector displayed 749 reported faults.
While the outage isn’t impacting everyone, a number of ChatGPT users are encountering error messages.

Increased error rates partial outage: According to Open AI, certain customers are encountering increased error rates and latency across the listed services as of 7:41 a.m. ET. The investigation is still going on.
Increased Sora error rates due to partial outages: OpenAI was still looking into the problem for the specified services as of 7:41 a.m. ET.
Although there were only about 749 reports to DownDetector indicates that the outage peaked at 1,327 reports at 7:41 a.m. ET.
According to reports, 2% report app difficulties and 87% report ChatGPT issues.
