Bill Gates tells about his new favorite book of all time

Bill Gates loves recommending books to other people. When he finishes the book he enjoys, he immediately tells his friends and colleagues about it. Recently, he read a book that was so good he couldn’t wait to share it with everyone.

If you only pick up one book this year, make it Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress by Steven Pinker. Says Bill Gates

Pinker is one of Bill Gates favorite authors. He also loved reading The Better Angels of Our Nature so much that he still refers it all the time. When he heard Steven was coming out with a follow-up outlining the history of human progress, his interest was piqued.

Enlightenment Now is an amazing book. It makes the case for why you should be an optimist about where humanity is headed towards. He believes, it could convince even the most negative nay sayers that the world is getting better.

People will have to wait until the end of February to read Enlightenment Now, but Gates Notes Insiders will get a first look at one of the chapters on the website.
