Facebook is introducing a Smart Watch

The smartwatch won’t be required to be paired with a phone in order to work

Facebook, the world’s largest social networking company is working on introducing its first smartwatch. The smartwatch is reported to have two detachable cameras and also a possible heartbeat monitor.

The device’s two cameras can be detached from the wrist for taking pictures and videos that can be posted on Facebook and Instagram.

The front camera is primarily for video calling and a 1080p camera with an autofocus feature on the back is for capturing pictures when detached from the frame of the watch. The idea is to use this watch as a smartwatch and the company will introduce many new features in the later editions.

As Facebook is at odds with Apple, this may be a new front for competition in the smartwatch market.

Apparently, as of the latest insights, the smartwatch won’t be required to be paired with a phone in order to work. The watch will be rolled out in three colors, White, Black, and Gold.

Facebook aims to release the first version of the watch by 2022.
