Here is why you need to cut ties with your toxic friends

You are an average of five people you spend the time with, says Jim Ron and this statement sounds correct and can be backed up for many reasons. The counter-argument here could be, while it is important to be surrounded by the people who encourage you and lift you higher, it is also important to have some critiques.

Well, the criticism does not necessarily have to come from enemies, your true friends can also correct you when they see something wrong. That is what true friends are, blessing, always wishing good for their friends and be there when needed the most.

It is very important to identify a toxic person around you, especially your friend because a good friend could be your strength and a toxic friend could pull you down in life and make your life miserable.

A toxic friend tries to control you, disrespect your boundaries, keeps on taking you for guaranteed, they are always correct and prove you wrong, plays the victim often and are compulsive lier.

You need to cut ties with such a friend before you further absorb their negative energy. It is scientifically proven that we absorb energies from others. ‘Everything is Energy‘ and that’s one of the main axioms of science.

Our bodies are like sponges, absorbing energy that is around us. “This is exactly why there are people who feel uncomfortable when they are in a certain group with a mixture of energy and emotions”. Psychologist and energy healer Dr. Olivia Bader-Lee at University of Bielefeld, Germany

Our thresholds for toxicity are relative as toxic people can go unnoticed for years. The biggest sign of a toxic friend is, immediately after you meet them, they make you feel down, they take away your energy and most importantly they slow you down.

When this begins to happen, it’s high time to bring down the curtains of the relationship and call it a day. The process should be done gradually, you should gradually taper off the process because if you do it at once, the repercussions would further drain your energy. Your friends should be your support system not the reason for your anxiety.

Change your friends if they do not talk about business, wealth and new opportunities.
