Paypal to launch its services in Bangladesh from 19th October

With around 550,000 freelancers and 700 E-commerce platforms in Bangladesh, PayPal the most popular online money transfer service in the world will launch its services on 19th October, 2017 in the country, Dhaka Tribune reports.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Adviser will inaugurate the service, said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State minister for the ICT Division.

“It is a great news for us, especially the freelancers who will now be able to get their foreign currency earnings transferred anywhere in the country within 40 minutes,” Zunaid Ahmed Palak

Bangladesh efforts to being Paypal in the country began earlier this March. All PayPal users will be able to use the service in about 12,000 branches of 9 banks in the country,

Freelancers and E-commerce platforms have been facing remittance problems from aboard in the country, PayPal will solve this problem. With the introduction of PayPal, the entrepreneurs will be able to expand their businesses and the service will also pave the way for new freelancers, E-commerce business.
