As part of an education initiative to get students online, NameCheap is presenting free domains to current students from UK, US, Canada, and Australian universities. The NameCheap student package is available in a bundle including discounted third level domains, free web hosting, as well as personalized email address.
For users, organizations, and repositories GitHub Pages available public pages. These are freely hosted for students on a GitHub’s domain or a custom domain name of one’s choice.
The available bundle is free for one year. After that the standard bundle i.e .ME, GitHub Pages and WhoisGuard is $18/year. Once the registration process is finished, a link is provided to setup GitHub. If users fail to setup services then, they can simply click in the link in the email that is sent to verify the email. This will be a second opportunity given to configure services for user’s part.
