What place?
If I start off my conversion with someone who wants to start blogging and wants to learn it. That would be the reaction probably. So, I decided to write about it.
It sounds convoluting.
FIND YOUR PLACE!
It took me almost 8 years to figure this out. I failed so much. I created blogs that went up and disappeared like never created.
I kept on going. I didn’t stop. I kept on learning.
Something interesting happened a few days back…
I was in the kitchen, while I was trying to find something to eat.
(I was actually thinking about Affiliate Marketing)
I grabbed a cup of tea and canceled my scheduled article (that I was supposed to write)
And started writing this article.
Because I’m on the verge of FINDING MY PLACE…
Obviously, we hear a lot about SEO, keywords, and ranking, all the time…
We struggle to make great content and strive to rank our articles.
But…
Have you ever tried to find your place?
Let’s dig deeper into this and see what this is supposed to mean!
There are three components that will take you closer to your place in blogging:
1) – Whatever you’re good at
Sometimes we think we haven’t found it yet but in reality, we already have it but we haven’t recognized it yet.
I’m talking about YOUR THING.
Remember, you’re always comfortable driving your own car rather than a friend’s car that you haven’t driven yet.
Because you’re used to driving your car…
You know how it feels.
You know the steering, suspension, acceleration… All in all, you know everything about your car…
Therefore, you become good at it.
So, when you choose something to blog about that you’re not good at, you start to feel uncomfortable in the beginning. Then, it starts to feel difficult, and at some point, it becomes impossible to continue.
If you, however, blog about something you’re good at, you would never go through that situation because it would be your space, you would know things around, and you would be able to grab the authoritative place sooner or later.
2) – Start looking for it
You don’t get there where you want to reach if you don’t start moving. If you want to find your place, you better start looking for it. If you haven’t got any idea about where to look for it, how to find it, and what to find out, then keep reading…
Whenever I listen to successful athletes and sportsmen, I find out that they started off their sports at an early age.
Look at the commitment and clarity.
They knew that they want to do this.
Probably that’s why they’re now the best in the world.
For instance, Novak Djokovic, a Serbian tennis player who is one of the most successful tennis players in the world and he has won 66 singles title so far. He started off tennis at the age of 4.
They know where they want to go and what they need to do… (at a young age)
THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO LEARN FROM THEM!!!
Some of us may take some time to find out. It doesn’t matter unless we don’t want to.
If you’re struggling to build a blogging career, then start looking for:
- Who you can help
- What you have to offer
- How you can make a difference
- Who you should be talking to
- Why do you think the audience should listen to you
When you find all those answers, you won’t have to look further.
What you will see is YOUR PLACE.
You would clearly find your audience looking for the answers that you may have to share with them. You know what you have or what you can do. So, get your head clear on this and take action.
3) – You must feel at home
You can’t win this if you start to like someone else’s niche, you’ll end up frustrated at some point.
Because that’s not who you are.
It fades your passion away over the course of time because you chose someone else’s niche.
You better be 100% sure about your decision.
The niche should be something special. Not only does it make you feel passionate but you also know how to respond in that particular niche.
For instance, Jackie Chan, he is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, and director. He is known for his innovative fight and weapon improvising in the fight scenes. You won’t picture Jackie Chan in a horror film because he doesn’t fit in. He does what he is good at.
The idea is, you don’t have to pretend something you’re not in actuality.
It does help us in finding our place in blogging.
When I started vlogging back in November 2015, I realized that there was something incomplete and that I’m not pushing myself. The moment I started vlogging, I added a whole lot of stuff to my schedule and then I started enjoying the hustle.
I didn’t start graphic designing.
I didn’t start web designing.
I didn’t start writing web codes.
Because
I knew I didn’t belong there.
Vlogging fascinated me. I felt at home when I started off vlogging.
Now I vlog every single day and upload to my YouTube channel.
I’m learning every day and I share all my learning on vlogging. pk. This blog helps the specific Pakistani audience who wants to start vlogging and make a career on YouTube.
The Ending
Do you know why I started off writing this article?
I could have saved this topic to write about later on.
But I chose to get it done right away.
Because…
I realized no matter how many articles I write in my career.
But this blogging advice for finding your place should go out there as soon as possible.
People are fighting for success.
Newbie bloggers jump in every single day and start blogging…
They want to succeed.
And every single day people quit. Their dreams shatter.
Because they keep on putting their effort where they don’t belong.
It’s not just about the NICHE to choose.
In fact, it’s about WHY you want to work in that niche.
Probably because you have a place there.
This is my blogging advice: FIND YOUR PLACE. DON’T PICK OTHERS’.
